BIKKUN® Vatted Malt Whisky, Moonshine Wagon Edition is a 100% malt whisky, the result of a close friendship between the BASQUE MOONSHINERS distillery and the heavy bluegrass band, MOONSHINE WAGON. MOONSHINE WAGON is one of the leading exponents of the new wave of young rock, folk, and bluegrass bands that are revolutionizing the international music scene.

To create this small batch of 800 bottles, two malt whiskies have been blended. On one hand, a 4-year-old young whisky distilled and aged by DISTELL International (Scotland) in ex-bourbon casks, and on the other hand, a BASQUE MOONSHINERS ExRioja Alavesa cask, characteristic of AGOT Single Malt Basque Whisky special editions.

Both barrels have a static aging age of 4 years, which gives this whisky very special and totally unique characteristics.

Tasting Notes

Pale gold in color. The nose reveals several layers of fresh aromas, ranging from herbal notes to green apple. A slightly spicy whisky, with hints of pepper, clove, and nutmeg. There are also touches of grapefruit and vinous notes. On the palate, it has a direct and spicy entry that opens up to a long and pleasant finish.

BIKKUN® Vatted Malt Whisky, Moonshine Wagon Edition is unfiltered and uncolored for maximum flavor. With the addition of ice and/or water, it may show some cloudiness, which is perfectly natural.
